The entertainer left behind two children — a daughter named <a href="https://eurweb.com/tag/emani-asghedom/"><strong>Emani</strong> </a>who he had with his ex-girlfriend <a href="https://eurweb.com/tag/tanisha-foster/"><strong>Tanisha Foster</strong></a> and a son named <strong>Kross</strong> who Hussle had with his girlfriend <a href="https://eurweb.com/tag/lauren-london/"><strong>Lauren London</strong></a>. Emani and Kross are expected to be paid around $5 million each and will continue to receive payments for the remainder of their life.</p> <p>In October 2023, Blacc Sam submitted a final report explaining that he handled all outstanding debts and creditor’s claims, Radar noted, adding that Blacc Sam mentioned that he reviewed all of Hussle’s property and assets. Under claims Yasin made, Sam agreed to award her 10% share of the Master Sound Recording of “Hussle & Motivation.” Yasin added that she was to be paid $35,000 for her work.</p> <p>Fast forward to January and Yasin filed her objection to the final report. In the objection, the songwriter claimed that Sam had breached the deal they reached by failing to pay her the full amount. Yasin said she only received $16,000.</p> <p>“Regrettably, the opposing party has thus far delayed the fulfillment of their obligations under the contract, and consequently, they are in breach of its terms,” Yasin claimed. “The original agreement with the Estate is deemed void due to multiple breaches. Ms. Yasin no longer seeks enforcement of this breached agreement. Instead, she is seeking damages because of these breaches and wishes to negotiate a new agreement that will protect her interests moving forward.”</p> <p>Court documents captured claims from Yasin that she didn’t mean to cause Hustle’s family any trouble.</p> <p>“My intention is not to burden the court or cause any distress to the involved family,” she said. “MY sole aim is to pursue a fair and just resolution. I am wholeheartedly committed to fully engaging with the court’s procedures, attending all hearings, and providing any additional necessary information. Considering these facts, I earnestly request the court to consider my objection and expedite the proceedings for a swift resolution.”</p> <p>Despite Yasin’s claims, Blacc Sam requested her motion to be denied. According to Sam, the settlement she signed was with <strong>All Money In LLC</strong>. He argued that when Yasin signed that deal — she agreed to forever dismiss claims against Hussle’s estate. Sam further stated that Yasin said she needed to act against All Money In LLC if she believed money was owed.</p> <p>As a result, Blacc Sam pleaded with the court to deny Yasin’s request and approve his final report. Now, more than two decades later, two men are set to go on trial for his killing. Together, they became the first hip hop group to reach mainstream popular music success, solidified by the rap-rock crossover “Walk This Way” with Aerosmith in 1986, as well as appearances on “Saturday Night Live” and on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine.</p> <p>“How I dressed in high school is the way we dressed,” <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2002/SHOWBIZ/Music/10/31/obit.jam.master.jay/">Jay told the trade magazine DJ Times in 2000</a>. “My vibe is our vibe.”</p> <p>Their song with Aerosmith was part of the triple-platinum selling album “Raising Hell,” which also included the hits “It’s Tricky,” “My Adidas” and “You Be Illin.’” The album was nominated for a Grammy Award for <a href="http://www.rockonthenet.com/grammy/randbgroup.htm">Best R&B Vocal Performance by a Duo or Group</a>.</p> <p>Run-DMC released a total of six albums between 1984 and 1993, with “King of Rock” and “Tougher Than Leather” also reaching platinum status. They were eventually overtaken in popularity by more hardcore rap in the 90s, and their next album wasn’t released until 2001.</p> <p>Run-DMC was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2009 for their groundbreaking legacy.</p> <p><iframe loading="lazy" title="The Killing of Jam Master Jay: How the news broke" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/x-72LISEfkI?enablejsapi=1" width="1280" height="720" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="allowfullscreen"></iframe></p> <p>“Run-D.M.C. was a group of firsts. The first rappers featured prominently on MTV, to appear on Saturday Night Live, to grace the cover of Rolling Stone, and to win a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award,” the <a href="https://www.rockhall.com/inductees/run-dmc?gclid=CjwKCAjw1ej5BRBhEiwAfHyh1Oi-TuXk5whztN9lj-BG-3rqszIsGQ-rCFt1GE6S_DIWg4_5zMZnqhoCOPEQAvD_BwE">Hall of Fame said</a>. “They broke down barriers for future rap acts, crossed boundaries between rap and rock and dispelled old notions of what rap could be.”</p> <h2>Jay’s death and investigation</h2> <p>Jam Master Jay was shot and killed on October 30, 2002, at a recording studio in Jamaica, Queens. The group broke up after his death.</p> <p>For years, <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2017/10/30/entertainment/jam-master-jay-murder-15-years/index.html">no one was arrested in the killing</a>, leaving one of the most tragic shootings in rap history unsolved.</p> <p>Finally, in August 2020, the US attorney for the Eastern District of New York unsealed a criminal indictment alleging two men conspired to kill Jam Master Jay in retaliation for a drug dispute.</p> <p>The indictment alleges that Jay was involved in transporting kilogram-quantities of cocaine between 1996 and 2002.</p> <p>In July 2002, he acquired about 10 kilograms of cocaine, which was intended to be distributed by Washington, Jordan and others, the indictment states. But a dispute between Washington and a co-conspirator led Jay to tell Washington he would be cut out of the transaction, prosecutors say.</p> <p>Washington and Jordan then allegedly conspired to kill him. On October 30, they entered Jam Master Jay’s recording studio with firearms, and Jordan fatally shot Mizell in the head and shot another man in the leg, according to the indictment.</p> <p>Jordan and Washington were each charged with murder while engaged in narcotics trafficking and firearm-related murder. DuCharme, who in 2020 was the acting US attorney for the Eastern District, <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2020/08/17/us/jam-master-jay-run-dmc-murder/index.html">said law enforcement</a> never gave up on solving the cold case.</p> <p>“It was important to us then and remains extremely important to us now to bring justice for the victim, his family, friends and the community that cared so much about those events,” DuCharme said.</p> <p>In a statement, Jam Master Jay’s son Jesse Mizell and the Mizell family thanked those who had reached out in support.</p> <p>“Upon hearing this news, we have mixed emotions; we truly hope that these indictments are a solid step towards justice being served in the murder of Jay,” the family said. “We realize that there are other families out there who have lingering pain who continue to wait for their own closure, and we pray that this case gives them hope.</p> <p>“In spite of all the tragedies we’ve seen this year alone, we take comfort in our family, our faith and in time’s ability to heal all. Some showers reach San Bernardino County. </p> <p>In addition, a flood watch will be in effect from Sunday afternoon through Tuesday afternoon for most of L.A. County.</em></p> <p><em>“The Los Angeles River will fill quickly and become a raging river and a very dangerous place to be,” according to the NWS. “Anyone in that basin should be removed well before the onset of rain. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor draining and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded. The site goes on to detail the situation, stating Tampa police officers responded to reports of a shooting last month on Jan. 17.</p> <p>The incident, which occurred at a house on 23rd Street, featured two women running out of the house with gunshot wounds. One of the women, officers revealed, is Banks’ mother. The other woman is the 42-year-old’s daughter, according to a police report obtained by reporters.</p> <p>After the women revealed Banks was still inside the home, a perimeter was set up around the home by police. Although Banks fired two rounds at officers who returned gunfire, no one was shot during the exchange, authorities said. Banks ultimately surrendered himself to authorities.</p> <p>Officers investigating the incident revealed they found another woman dead inside the home. The woman, who was a friend of Banks’ mother, had a gunshot wound to her head. The note, allegedly written by Banks to his daughter, found the 42-year-old patriarch insisting she “enter into a relationship with him and not date anyone else,” according to the police report.</p> <p>With the discovery of the letter, Banks’ mother and her friend talked about forcing him out of the house over this letter. Banks told officers he felt “betrayed and upset” from hearing the conversation. From there, the shooting began, with Banks taking his revolver and shooting at the pair before opening fire on his daughter while she was in the shower, Banks reportedly told authorities.</p> <p>The suspected shooter was held without bond. So much so that he believes NBA players should only play about 10 years.</p> <p>“It’s not good for the league to have old players still hanging around,” the 59-year-old four-time NBA champion said. “Takes away from the advertisement. She guided her prodigy son, Ben Foster, through filmmaking (short films and music videos) via his Ben Foster Films to accomplish many milestones.</p> <p>One of those milestones included appearing on the <em>Montel Williams Show</em>. Montel was so impressed with Ben Foster that he sent him to the Los Angeles Film Academy. It was at the film academy that he experienced an internship at BET Network.</p> <p>Butler expanded her talent for guiding young talent to include other children. But Friday night’s airstrikes against over 80 targets inside Iraq and Syria were — so far — a comparatively limited response to the worst loss of US military life in the region <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2023/08/29/politics/abbey-gate-afghanistan-families-house-roundtable/index.html">in nearly three years</a>.</p> <p>Friday night tried to sound loud, but would likely not echo for long. US Central Command said the US deployed heavy bombers — the B-1B Lancer — to hit 85 targets in seven locations. The strikes may be determined to have caused more damage when the sun rises. But it was far from the most pain the Pentagon was capable of delivering.</p> <p>There might be more; US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin suggested this was the beginning. But on Friday, the US response lasted just 30 minutes, the White House said. It was short, perhaps sharp, but not a shock.</p> <p>That was a clear and calculated choice. The Biden administration faced a near-impossible task: Hit hard enough to show you mean it, but ensure your opponent can absorb the blow without lashing out in return. The US had telegraphed its response for over five days, with senior US officials briefing about its nature, its severity, and even hinting at its targets.</p> <p><iframe loading="lazy" title="US orders 'multi-tier response' against Iran-backed militia" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/HHWqmIY1TDk?enablejsapi=1" width="1280" height="720" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="allowfullscreen"></iframe></p> <p>This warning was likely designed to reduce the risk of misunderstanding, and perhaps enable the militias targeted to shift locations and lessen the loss of life. It may have also been intended to ensure US strikes were not mistaken for the work of Israel, which could have sparked retaliation against the Israelis and risked another cycle of escalation.</p> <p>This volatility reduced Biden’s options to a sliver of US capabilities. When his predecessor Donald Trump had Iran’s most senior military figure, Quds Force Commander Qasem Soleimani, killed in 2020, the region was far from the brink. However, the risk of conflagration in 2024 is the highest in decades. Mistakes, or unanticipated successes, can lead to spirals, and that can lead to unavoidable, wider conflict.</p> <p>It is almost miraculous that wider conflict has not already erupted in the Middle East four months after the Palestinian militant group Hamas attacked Israel and the ongoing assault on Gaza it sparked. (Indeed, you might be left asking, if recent months have not been enough for the Palestinians’ prima facie allies to intervene, what would be?) Yet as of Friday, despite a continuing slow boil of tensions between the US, its allies, and Iran’s many proxies, a wider war remains unlikely.</p> <p>Wars normally happen in the rare event that both sides want them, in the more common occasion when parties determine open conflict is unavoidable, or sometimes when they have run out of diplomatic space. The Biden administration has elections looming, in which it does not need another costly foreign adventure, trouble over its Israel policy, or rising oil prices. Iran’s economy is still shaky, internal unrest is a not-yet-distant memory, and it has wider goals of outsized regional influence, milking its technical relationship with Moscow, and the apparent pacy pursuit of a nuclear weapon.</p> <p>It is for this crisis — seldom spoken of, but loud in the background noise — that perhaps Tehran and Washington are happy to save their confrontation. Since October 7, Iran increased its enrichment of uranium to over 83%, bolstering fears it was closing in on the nuclear bomb capability it insists it does not want.</p> <p>The UN watchdog International Atomic Energy Agency has suggested that Iranian uranium enrichment may have slowed in recent weeks, but the prospect of nuclear proliferation is again closer. In the meantime, Washington is happy to leave this looming crisis off its talking points. And Tehran is content with needling its main adversaries, fixing its internal woes, and avoiding broader conflict.</p> <p>There will likely follow criticism of the Biden administration for not using the same blunt and forceful approach as Trump in 2020. Yet the perception that might be the only means of projecting strength is dangerous. The US can inflict a lot of damage, anywhere it seeks, at any time.</p> <p>Biden’s decision so far to not send many other Americans to die in a wider conflict, in the name of avenging the deaths of three of their comrades, is not weakness, but the recognition that power is defined by its measured use. Atlanta (CNN) — </b>Fulton County District Attorney <strong>Fani Willis </strong>and <strong>Nathan Wade</strong>, her lead prosecutor on the 2020 election case, both acknowledge in court papers that they have a “personal” relationship but strongly pushed back on claims that she financially benefitted from hiring him.</p> <p>The filing from Willis, who is spearheading the Georgia criminal case against former President Donald Trump and his allies over efforts to overturn the 2020 election, includes an affidavit from Wade, who says that in 2022 he and Willis “developed a personal relationship in addition to our professional association and friendship.”</p> <p>Wade denied that his earnings on the case have been “shared with or provided to” Willis.</p> <p>“The District Attorney received no relationship … has never involved direct or indirect financial benefit to District Attorney Willis.”</p> <p>Willis filed the response to allegations by one of Trump’s co-defendants of a conflict of interest and improper romantic relationship with Wade.</p> <p>Willis said in the court filing <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2024/01/23/politics/fani-willis-allegations-election-subversion-case/index.html">that the “salacious” allegations</a> do not reach the legal grounds required for her to be disqualified from the Georgia election interference case.</p> <p>“While the allegations raised in the various motions are salacious and garnered the media attention they were designed to obtain, none provide this Court with any basis upon which to order the relief they seek,” the filing stated.</p> <p>Willis said that defense attorneys did not reach the legal basis for disqualification, writing that she has no financial or personal conflict of interest that “constitutes a legal basis for disqualification,” and that she “has made no public statements that warrant disqualification or judicial Nouvelage-Reuters-File)</figcaption></figure> <p>The motion also defended Wade, saying that the attacks on his qualifications are “factually inaccurate, unsupported, and malicious, in addition to providing no basis whatsoever to dismiss the indictment or disqualify Special Prosecutor Wade.”</p> <p>“Defendants do not point to any action taken by the District Attorney or any of her staff that has been outside the character of an officer of the law specially charged to oversee either the special purpose grand jury’s investigation or the prosecution of these Defendants,” the motion reads.</p> <p>“Instead, the motions attempt to cobble together entirely unremarkable circumstances of Special Prosecutor Wade’s appointment with completely irrelevant allegations about his personal family life into a manufactured conflict of interest on the part of the District Attorney. The effort must fail.”</p> <h2>Wade and Willis respond to allegations of improper conduct</h2> <p>The judge overseeing the criminal case had ordered Willis to respond – setting the stage for a February 15 hearing on the matter. Willis, Wade and some of their colleagues could be forced to testify at the hearing after receiving subpoenas this week.</p> <p>Addressing allegations that the two took vacations together, Willis wrote that the “financial responsibility for personal travel taken is divided roughly evenly between the two, with neither being primarily responsible for expenses of the other, and all expenses paid for with individual personal funds.”</p> <p>In his affidavit, Wade said: “At times I have made and purchased travel for District Attorney Willis and myself from my personal funds. At other times District Attorney Willis has made and purchased travel for she and I from her personal funds.”</p> <p>Willis added that “there are no joint or shared finances or financial accounts,” that “there is not now and has never been any shared household,” and that neither Willis nor Wade are financially reliant on the other.</p> <p>Citing Wade’s affidavit, Willis wrote that “Defendants offer no support for their insistence that the exercise of any prosecutorial discretion (i.e., any charging decision or plea recommendation) in this case was impacted by any personal relationship.”</p> <p>“Without those additional factors, the existence of a relationship between members of a prosecution team, in and of itself, is simply not a status that entitles a criminal defendant any remedy,” she continued.</p> <p>In the spring of 2021, Wade was asked by Willis, along with two other attorneys, to assist in the investigation into efforts to overturn the 2020 election.</p> <p>“Lawyers we spoke with about taking on the work expressed hesitation due to concerns related to violent rhetoric and potential safety issues for their families,” Wade said, adding that he initially pushed back when Willis asked him to serve as Special Prosecutor in the 2020 election subversion case.</p> <p>Willis argues that the February 15 hearing is not necessary and should be canceled.</p> <p>“Defendants’ failure to support their demands for extreme relief with evidence that would support any remedy makes an evidentiary hearing on this matter unnecessary,” Willis wrote in a court filing Friday responding to the allegations. “The State respectfully asks that, after consideration of the (Nathan) Wade Affidavit and other submitted exhibits, the motions be denied without further spectacle.”</p> <h2>Willis has no plan to step down</h2> <p><a href="https://www.cnn.com/2024/02/01/politics/fani-willis-not-recuse-affair-allegations-trump-election-case-georgia/index.html">CNN previously reported that </a>Willis has no plans to step down from the election subversion case, a decision driven in part over concern that her departure could effectively end the case, as it’s unclear if there’s another prosecutor in Georgia willing to take it on.</p> <p>While the allegations have become a <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2024/02/02/politics/gop-committee-subpoena-fani-willis/index.html">huge public focus</a> and distraction for Willis’ office, she had not directly addressed the allegations for weeks but did broadly defend Wade and her team.</p> <p>The alleged affair was first raised by Trump’s co-defendant, former 2020 campaign official Mike Roman, last month in a court filing that accused Willis of financially benefiting when Wade took her on lavish vacations, partly paid for with what he billed her office for work on the case. Willis appointed Wade special prosecutor in 2021.</p> <p>But there was little direct evidence included in that initial filing seeking her dismissal and for the case to be tossed, an effort Trump has since joined. Since then, credit card statements revealed in Wade’s divorce case show he paid for two plane tickets for Willis to San Francisco and Miami.</p> <p>Trump and the 14 remaining co-defendants were indicted by Willis last summer. No trial date has been set yet. Because if it’s not In-N-Out, it’s something else tomorrow,” said Oakland resident Jenny Goeppner, per CBS News. “These are people’s jobs, and it’s essential to have jobs so we can spend money in the community,” said Oakland resident Darryl Brown, CBS News reports. </span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Per CBS, a statement from Denny Warnick, Chief Operating Officer of In-N-Out, said in part, “We have made the decision to close our In-N-Out Burger location in Oakland, California, due to ongoing issues with crime. Despite taking repeated steps to create safer conditions, our Customers and Associates are regularly victimized by car break-ins, property damage, theft, and armed robberies.
